Kevin Timmons, Senior Technician
Kevin has been with the company since 2003. He is a graduate of ITT Technical Institute in Oregon. He has bachelor degrees in Electronics Engineering and Robotics Manufacturing. He is a highly skilled technician and talented installer. Kevin is one of our senior technicians and tower climbers. He has played a fundamental role in nearly all of our large communications projects to date.
Tom Sieverding, General Sales Manager
Tom joined Valence in 2005. Prior to coming on board, Tom worked in sales management at two other communications companies in Spokane. Tom has around two decades of industry experience in the Land Mobile and Communications sectors. His knowledge and experience have contributed to the success of many of our customer's projects. Tom takes pride in taking care of the client and providing excellent customer service.
Sarah Deakins, Office Manager
Sarah is the Office Manager and Receptionist for Valence. Her past work experience includes being a member of the HR Department at Spokane Teachers Credit Union, and prior to that, hospital administration at Sacred Heart. Sarah assists with managing the day to day operations, invoicing, payroll and provides valuable support for the technical and sales staff members. She is always happy to assist our customers with a positive attitude and friendly demeanor!

Brian Hamilton, Systems Technician
Brian is certified as a limited energy electrician in the State of Idaho and Washington State. Brian has multiple years of experience in installing complex public safety systems in the United States and overseas for numerous military facilities. He has an Associates of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from North Idaho College where he was recognized as an honor student for academic performance as well as attendance. One of Brian’s past duties was to provide formal instruction to customers on the products he installed. He did this for groups comprised of technical and non-technical individuals alike. Brian has excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills as well as a high attention to detail.

Rory Bowman, Office Admin
Rory joined our staff in November 2010. Rory is new to our industry but brings with her an avid desire to learn, attention to detail and a strong organizational ability. Rory's prior experience includes managing a small business location, supply requisitioning, overseeing other staff members as well as customer service. At Valence, Rory is responsible for answering all incoming phone traffic, sales staff support, invoicing, shipping and receiving as well as other mission-critical functions. Rory also works closely with the Office Manager and company management in support of other important administrative functions. She has a positive disposition and enjoys interacting with our customers.

Michael Deakins, Company President
Michael started Valence at the end of 2002. Prior to starting the company, he worked as a 9-1-1 Systems Technician and service manager for another local communications company for about 3 years. Before that, Michael worked for Inland Communications of Spokane and managed the portable product repair department and oversaw two other technicians. He is a Veteran of the Desert Storm era and served as an Electronics Technician, Petty Officer 2nd Class for the U.S. Navy.
Michael manages and oversees the daily business, financial and technical operations of the company, while also being involved in a many larger customer projects. He has over twenty years of industry and electronics experience.
